Paddy/rice and other interesting new views

The lovely scenic views around the rice growing area is most beautiful about 1 month before harvest. Looks like a carpet of gold shimmering in the broad day sun. Those who have not been to such area - this is the time to go. Sekinchan is about 1hr 30mins ride from Kuala Lumpur. Nice seafood restaurants and fresh fruits stalls along the way. Pictures were taken last week 11th May 2010.

By next week the rice grain will be filled and also heavier and bigger. Planning another visit to snap some pictures. Will be visiting some pitaya (dragon fruit) farms. Kind of an anxious moment as bacterial and fungal diseases has wipe out a lot of farms. Happy viewing.................

Better rice/paddy yield using Fotogen 100

Hi there and welcome to share new development to improve our skill and knowledge. I will post all interesting results as i come across them in my visits to the farms. Just visited rice field in Sekinchan,Selangor which is the top yielding area in Malaysia. Every harvest there are only 3 plots that can reach 13 tons per 3 acres. The good plots will be from 11-12 tons per 3 acres. The rest are the 10 tons and below.

Can new technology/product break this record?????? This record is unbroken for the last 10 years if I am not wrong. Can we do it ???? Looks very promising up to last visit, will know in about 1 month's time........... some photos to show
